Important Reminders
ATHLETES
- All athletes must have a current BNZ registration and or a valid registered book to compete – no book no box!
- Boxers will only be required have a medical and weighin on the days that they are competing .
- Unopposed boxers will have to weighin and pass a medical on day 1 of event or at a date set by the Supervisor
- All athletes must adhere to the IBA rules including wearing the appropriate attire, NO red/orange/pink mouth guards will be accepted. Mouthguard and hand wraps will be checked at the glove steward’s table.
- Boxes can ONLY wear a RED or BLUE vest and shorts as per the respective corner.
A boxers vest may have any of the following:
- The boxers Club/Association initials - size not to exceed 20cm long by 10cm high on the back of the Vest
- The boxer's Surname - size not to exceed 20cm long and 5cm high and is to be placed on the back and below the Association lettering.
- The Sponsor Name (1 only) may be placed on the front top left-hand side of the vest and or the bottom left of the Boxers shorts or skirt
- Size not exceeding 30cm square (for example 10cm long and 3cm deep)
- All lettering MUST be white in color
Novice Entries
- Elite Male and Youth Male boxers need to have had at least 5 bouts to enter. All other boxers need to have had at least 3 bouts to enter..
COACHES
- Must wear their registered coaches’ licence (will also need this to enter) – these need to be present at the glove steward’s table prior to each bout.
- No jeans or hats in the corner to be worn.
UNOPPOSED All unopposed boxers will have to weighin and pass a medical on day 1 of event or at a date set by the Supervisor
